Communicate is the UK’s leading conference for environmental communicators, bringing together over 150 delegates each year to debate and share the latest challenges and emerging best practice for engaging people with the natural world.
The conference was highly stimulating and thought-provoking and it was a great opportunity to meet people involved across a wide variety of sectors
Unique in its diversity of delegates, over 80 organisations, including NGOs, local and national government, media, academia, visitor attractions and green businesses, are represented at Communicate annually. Since 2003, more than 800 delegates from over 300 organisations have attended the conference.
Using the skills and experience of our expert Communicate Committee and our dynamic staff team we always strive to bring the most inspiring, instructive and exciting content to Communicate, delivered through engaging and sometimes eccentric sessions. This all plays out against a relaxed and friendly backdrop, providing the perfect opportunity to network with fellow communicators and create links across the diverse sectors represented.
As well as the annual conference, Communicate hosts a bank of onlineenvironmental communication archives and resources, and delivers associated projects, most recently the production of an online resource for engaging people in biodiversity issues, in collaboration with Defra’s People Engagement Group and Simon Christmas Ltd.
